The DM role assists in planning, monitoring, and controlling multiple projects using proven methods and techniques.
This role is a key participant in all client meetings and is especially involved in start

Perform an Initial Project Feasibility (ROI, Business Case) analysis.
Create the project charter document and ensure strategic project alignment to business objectives.
Understand the projects vision and requirements and contribute to scoping discussions and creation of supplemental requirements.
Manage and implement/support major system enhancements by establishing appropriate change management procedures (internal and external), identifying scope changes, and coordinating multi service strategies and issues.
Project Planning Prepare a detailed project plan/work breakdown structure that includes functional and activity decomposition matrix for all new projects and key milestones for each phase of the SDLC.
Prepare complete project estimates and maintain the status.
Review the Project Work Plan with onsite counter parts and the Short Term Onsite associate for Knowledge Transition and then present it to the onsite team.
Review the project plans created by Delivery Leads/Delivery Managers.
Help onsite team in forward planning (forecasting) and capacity planning.
Plan measures to track project progress and quality of work.
Plan methods and procedures to manage changes to the scope of work.
Forecast revenue, profitability, and utilization across projects.
Perform a Risk Management analysis.
Periodically review and analyze the project risk document.
Ensure that mitigation strategies have been implemented and are on track.
Participate in the risk evaluation meetings onsite and disseminate the risk information to offshore team and relevant GMs.
Track the tasks planned for the week and communicate with the onsite Cluster Manager for weekly review of risks.
Monitor risk mitigation plans closely and continuously re
*evaluate the contingency plans developed with respect to their current validity.
Minimize risks across multiple projects and programs.
Identify the need, duration, and mode of training based on the project documentation.
Verify effectiveness of training and the number of associates required to travel from/to US for the KT.
Create and maintain the Project Quality Plan along with all the metrics and measures.
Project Monitoring Prepare all project reports and matrices to be presented to Group Manager/Senior Group Manager.
Review the Project/Issue status on periodical basis with Delivery Leads/Delivery Managers.
Discuss with onsite team, raise questions to seek clarity.
Monitor UAT on an ongoing basis for validity, impact, and closure of issues with Technical Leads.
Review overall project status and ensure onsite counterparts/teams are kept informed of changing plans and delivery issues.
Take corrective action when team members fail to meet deadlines, remain within budget, or perform at the required standard.
Track and monitor the project budget.
Maintain and achieve the quality goals as defined in the project performance goals.
