Our research primarily focuses on Cloud, New age data stores e.g.
NoSQL data stores, messaging systems, stream processing and technology stack for Internet Of Things.
What are my responsibilities? Conceptualize solutions based on requirements (Evaluate multiple solution options and recommend) Implement proofs of concept and prototypes to validate ideas in the areas of research Survey and keep abreast of the state of the art in the areas of research Help disseminate knowledge by conducting technical talks and discussions Understand key non functional requirements relevant to Siemens businesses and conduct experiments to benchmark them Contribute to creation of IP in the areas that are relevant to the team and Siemens businesses Write papers for presentation in journals and conferences Hands on implementation of modules for various research and platform projects Fulfilling project process and quality needs What do I need to qualify for this job? Masters degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with 2
*3 years (or) Bachelors degree with 6
*7 years or PhD with 1
*2 years of experience in relevant topics Inclination towards applied research in data management Knowledge about the use of design patterns, UML, and other modeling languages Experience with object
*oriented design and programming using C#/Java Proficiency with data structures and algorithms Proficiency in scripting and hands on experience with networking tools.
Strong problem solving, communication and team working skills.
Research experience in the broad field of data management will be an added advantage Strong background in distributed computing and data management concepts and technologies is a must Hands
*on experience with one or more of the following is a must:
Cloud platforms (e.g.
OpenStack, Microsoft Azure, Amazon EC2) Large
*scale data processing platforms (e.g.
Pivotal, SAP HANA) Hands on experience in cloud automation and orchestration tools are desired.
Docker, Brooklyn etc.
Strong concept in virtualization and topics related to virtualization.
